Vtg Japanese Incense Burner Koro for Buddhist Altar Butsugu
This item is a vintage Japanese Buddhist altar fitting small bronze incense burner (koro). The lid has a Shishi lion on it. On the sides are designs of peacocks and peony flowers. This type of burner is used for burning incense powder or sticks. The incense burner has the meaning of purifying the body of the worshiper.
