Vintage Japanese Wooden Storage Box
Wooden boxes are a standard method of safely keeping and storing delicate pottery, vases, and other ceramic, clay, and glass items in Japan. In addition to pottery, they are widely used for many traditional Japanese crafts, including kimono accessories, wrapping cloths, chopsticks, commemorative gifts, etc, and even food.
This (almost) cube-shaped lidded box is made of wood and has a natural wood color. It is likely handmade. There is a paper label on the front of the box and strings to secure the lid. It is excellent for general storage, DIY, or decoration.
