Vintage Japanese Porcelain Bowl
This is a Japanese vintage porcelain rice bowl. The bowl is decorated with sometsuke-style dark blue shochikubai design (plum blossom, pine tree, bamboo). Shochikubai is a popular, traditional winter motif that symbolizes perseverance and renewal. The inner rim has a diamond floral pattern, and there is a spiral at the bottom of the bowl. It is the ideal size to serve soup, rice, or other small foods.
