Vtg Japanese Buddhist Altar Fitting Shokudai Candle Stand
This item is a Japanese vintage Buddhist altar candle holder stand. This metal candlestick is brown and has three legs with a Shishi motif, as well as two handles with an elephant motif. In the middle, it has a relief of the Ho-oh bird on both sides. This candle stand doesn't have a spike to hold a candle. Candlestands or candlesticks are basic Buddhist tools used in most sects and are essential for Buddhist altars (Butsudan).
