Japanese Buddhist Altar Copper Lotus Flowers
This is a vintage Japanese Buddhist altar fitting called jouka, or everlasting flower. It is made from copper metal and depicts golden lotus flowers and leaves. It is meant to sit atop a hanatate, an altar flower vase in lieu of live flowers that must be replaced frequently. It is beautifully detailed and has a resin peg and round metal piece at the bottom so it fits securely in the user's vase of choice.
