Japanese Buddhist Fabric Bag for Prayer Beads Juzu

This is a Japanese vintage handmade fabric prayer beads juzu bag, also called juzu-bukuro. It is used to carry rosary beads used in memorial services such as funerals.  It is made of a dark blue silk fabric that features chrysanthemums in light blue, orange, and gold. There are two pockets inside and the fabric is white with a subtle sayagata manji pattern. This case has a resin clasp.
