Vtg Japanese Porcelain Yunomi Teacup

This is a Japanese vintage porcelain teacup. It has a crackled light green glaze and is is decorated with pictures of round coins with a square hole in the center. The edge of the cup and some other details of the cup are embellished with gold color foil. It is signed on the bottom. This colorful yet subtle piece is compact and lightweight.

This type of cups is called yunomi. They are made for serving and drinking sencha (standard looseleaf tea). These cups are typically brought to guest in one's home, a business, or a restaurant on a lacquered obon tray.
