Vtg Japanese Clay Hina Doll Princess and Prince w/Box
This is a Japanese vintage pair of white clay (shirato) hina dolls. This adorable pair features the princess and prince and has been hand-painted in pink, blue, and gold. They stand freely on a black lacquered wooden base. They come in the original paper box.
During the Girls' Day Festival (Hina Matsuri), many people set up simple or sometimes very elaborate displays of dolls that depict a royal court with the princess and prince being the focal point at the very top of the display.
