Japanese Calligraphy Brush
This is a vintage Japanese calligraphy brush, or fude in Japanese. There are no inscriptions on the brown bamboo handle.
Brushes are traditionally used for Japanese calligraphy (Shodo) and for practicing Japanese character handwriting (Shuji). They can also be used for traditional Nihonga paintings.
