Japanese Buddhist Book
This vintage Japanese Buddhist accordion-style book is called Maka Hannya Haramita Shingyo, or Hannya Shingyo - the Heart Sutra. It features several sutras and was issued by Yakushiji Temple in Nara (head temple of the Hosso school of Buddhism). It has an orange cover with silver kamon (logos) of the Soto Zen sect. The pages are printed on both sides. The back features a translation in modern Japanese of the Hannya Shingyo original text.
