This is a pair of vintage Japanese parts of a Buddhist altar (decorative piece). It is a very beautiful item carved of wood and coated with a black lacquer and gold accents. It has a cloud-like swirling design on the bracket pieces. It can be used as a spare part, for repair, or for decoration.
