 Vintage Japanese Buddhist Altar Butsudan Drawer

This item comes from a Japanese vintage wooden Buddhist altar cabinet. This shallow, long drawer is stained with a dark chocolate brown color and brushed with a clear lacquer coating. The front side features a very simple 3D floral vine design with a textured background. This piece is perfect for storage and DIY.

In Japan, the Buddhist altar is a place to enshrine the principal image that is the center of faith, and is a sacred place to hold memorial services for ancestors as a "small temple in the home".
