Antique Japanese Porcelain Bowl

This is a Japanese antique porcelain bowl. The age of the pottery can be roughly understood by looking at the bottom. From the end of the Edo period to the beginning of the Meiji period, it was made using a manufacturing method that did not apply glaze to the bottom so that it would not stick to the kiln. It is called Janome Koudai because it looks like a snake's eye. There are Goma (sesame) spots and dust marks. The traces of sesame and dust are the places where the ash fell when it was fired in the kiln.
