Japanese Lacquered Wooden Haribako Sewing Chest
This is a Japanese sewing box, also called haribako. A medium brown color with a clear brushed lacquer coat, this small chest has three similar-sized drawers with simple metal hardware. The insides of the drawers are lined with a yellow-gold velvety fabric. The front corners of the drawers and all corners of the rest of the box have black metal accents. This beautiful tansu chest can also be used for storing sewing supplies, jewelry, or other trinkets.
