Japanese Lidded Tea Ceremony Storage Box
This is a vintage lidded wooden storage box for Japanese tea ceremony items. It has two removable shelves as well as a removable wooden panel on the inside bottom for sliding the often heavy water container in and out. The lid sits nicely inside and there is a metal handle at the top for easy transport. Chabako typically come with a little metal locking key/bracket that holds the box shut, however, this piece is missing. It can fit a full set of tea ceremony items (two tea bowls, water container, whisk, ladle, matcha container, matcha scoop, cloths, etc).
