Vtg Japanese Ceramic Sake Bottle Kayoi-Tokkuri
This is a Japanese vintage sake bottle. This bottle is in gray color and has black Japanese characters on the front. This particular sake bottle has an attached string to facilitate transport.
Also called a Kayoi-Tokkuri, this type of bottle is used to pour sake. The commuting sake bottle became popular as a rental container for liquor stores in the Edo period when sake began to be consumed on a daily basis.
