Vintage Japanese Porcelain Sashimi Plate
This is a vintage Japanese porcelain sashimi plate/platter. It is mostly white with lovely blue designs depicting shochikubai (friends of winter: bamboo, pine, plum) around the edge. The middle has raised lines to make it easier to organize and lift thin slices of fish from the plate. Paired with a soy sauce dish (seiji) and a small plate (kozara), this plate is a perfect addition to any Japanese dinnerware set.
