This is a vintage Japanese porcelain small bowl (kobachi). Glazed a bright white with blue (sometsuke), this shallow bowl features a leaping rabbit design. It is the right size for side dishes such as small salads, steamed dishes (vegetables, fish, tofu), small portions of fried foods, as well as desserts.
