Vintage Japanese Folding Fan Sensu
This is a miniature traditional Japanese folding fan called sensu. You can use this when it's hot or as decoration. This fan is made with a natural bamboo frame (with lacquered ends) and sturdy washi paper. It features a handsome rooster with long green tailfeathers on a shimmering silver background. The back side is plain white.
Roosters, hens, and chicks are a popular motif in Japanese art and decor and are often used to represent the zodiac during the animal's designated year.
