Vintage Japanese Sake Cup

This is a vintage Japanese commemorative sake cup, Sakazuki. This is gold and has a shallow cup and foot. The Minister of Agriculture presented this cup in Showa 53(1978), according to the inscription on the side.  

Sakazuki refers specifically to flat sake cups. Ochoko is a small cup that can be used to drink sake in one or two sips. Guinomi is a cup large enough to fit your nose when drinking sake.
