This is a Japanese vintage medicine box. This is a red-colored drawer box made of wood and paper. This is an early red medicine box from Koukando. In the old days, there was a service that would keep a box of medicines in your home and once or twice a year, a pharmacist would come to your house and charge for the medicines you used, and replace expired medicines with new ones.
