Vintage Japanese Lacquer Wooden Serving Pot

This is a Japanese vintage wooden lacquer serving pot for hot water, called yuto or yutsugi. Lacquered a classic, glossy black, this pot is used to pour sobayu after enjoying soba/buckwheat noodles, but is also used to serve neriyu, which is hot water with various ingredients (rice, sesame, salt, etc) sometimes enjoyed at the end of a tea ceremony. Likewise, this pot can be used for refilling nabe/hot pot.
