Vintage Japanese Hina Doll Accessory
This is a vintage Japanese resin lacquer replica takatsuki offering table. It is made of resin plastic to mimic the look of red lacquered wood. It is used during Hina Matsuri (Girl's Day) in the gorgeous displays of dolls. It is a glossy red with a printed design on the top surface that features plum blossoms, temari balls, and tachibina (prince and princess pair). It disassembles in two places and comes with the original box.
The Hinamatsuri (Doll's Festival) in Japan is a traditional event celebrated on March 3rd every year. Its purpose is primarily to wish for the healthy growth and happiness of girls. Hina dolls are an essential part of the festival and are prominently displayed in homes during it.
