Japanese Suiseki Viewing Stone Ornament
This item is a vintage Japanese viewing stone, also called Suiseki. This statue is a cut of what appears to be galena crystal formations with quartz (not confirmed). It is fixed to a heavy rectangular ceramic base also decorated with stone and crystal fragments.
In traditional Japanese culture, Suiseki are rocks, big and small, appreciated for their natural aesthetics and decorative values. This suiseki stone makes for a gorgeous centerpiece or mantelpiece.
