Japanese Ceramic Yunomi Teacup
This is a vintage Japanese ceramic pottery teacup. The cup has a smooth teal-blue glaze covering the entire outside of the cup and slightly inside the rim. The very inside is a taupe brown color.
This cup is called yunomi, made for serving and drinking sencha (standard loose-leaf tea). It is typically brought to guests in one's home, a business, or a restaurant on a lacquered obon tray.
