Vintage Japanese Ceramic Small Plate, Mamezara

This is a vintage Japanese ceramic plate. This round, simple small plate, also called mamezara, is a sage green color with a brown edge and brown speckles throughout. Mamezara are tiny plates in a Japanese tableware set that typically hold dipping sauces such as soy sauce, garnishes, and other condiments. It is also the perfect size for holding small jewelry.
