Vintage Japanese Pottery Sake Bottle Kayoi-Tokkuri 

This is a vintage Japanese ceramic sake bottle. It is called a Kayoi-Tokkuri and is used to pour sake. The commuting sake bottle became popular as a rental container for liquor stores in the Edo period when sake began to be consumed on a daily basis. This bottle is black and brown with a glossy glaze.

• Good condition considering age. Some production imperfections on glaze (one spot where the glaze is missing). Side of the mouth is broken and missing. Wear and tear due to age. Please see the photos carefully.
