Vtg Japanese Ceramic Teapot Kyusu

This is a vintage Japanese ceramic Chakoboshi or Kensui. It is a bowl to discard the old tea and tea leaves in the teapot when drinking the second cup of sencha. Then, new tea leaves are added, and make tea again.
