Japanese Calligraphy Brush
This is a vintage Japanese calligraphy brush, or fude in Japanese. According to the engraved inscriptions on the bamboo handle, this brush is size 3.
Brushes are traditionally used for Japanese calligraphy (Shodo) and for practicing Japanese character handwriting (Shuji). They can also be used for traditional Nihonga paintings.

- Good condition considering its age. Used item. The outer layer of bristle is only half as long as the hair at the center. Ink stains on handle. Wear and tear due to age. Please see the photos.
