Japanese Calligraphy Brush
This is a vintage Japanese calligraphy brush, or fude in Japanese. The black handle does not feature any inscriptions. This brush has a string at one end.
Brushes are traditionally used for Japanese calligraphy (Shodo) and for practicing Japanese character handwriting (Shuji). They can also be used for traditional Nihonga paintings.
