Japanese Calligraphy Brush
This is a vintage Japanese calligraphy brush, or fude in Japanese. The bamboo handle is painted in dark red and has a sticker at the top. There is a loop at one end.
Brushes are traditionally used for Japanese calligraphy (Shodo) and for practicing Japanese character handwriting (Shuji). They can also be used for traditional Nihonga paintings.

- Good condition considering its age. Used item. Ink stains on the hair. The bristles are hard/crispy at the base and need cleaning. Some stains and marks on handle. Some of the paint is damaged. Wear and tear due to age. Please see the photos.
