Japanese Buddhist Altar Fitting Incense Stick Holder
This is a porcelain incense stick holder, senkousashi, for Buddhist altars. It is used to hold long sticks of incense to be burned in front of a butsudan or Buddhist home altar during prayer. This particular container has a celadon glaze in a light blue color.
