Vtg Japanese Kaga Ningyo Wooden Figurine
This is a vintage Japanese Kaga ningyo, a folk toy from Kanazawa, Ishikawa. This decorative figurine represents a chubby baby holding an ornamental spear called Keyari, carried by the head of a Daimyo procession. The baby's hairstyle, tying his hair on the top and near the ears, is a common style for children in the Edo era. It is housed in the original wooden box.
