Vintage Japanese Porcelain Bowl
This is a vintage Japanese porcelain small bowl (kobachi). A white glazed base with a striking bright blue design and brown rim, this bowl features the traditional shippo pattern. The outside edge has a subtle octagonal shape while the inside is round with a flat bottom. It is the right size for side dishes such as small salads, steamed dishes (vegetables, fish, tofu), small portions of fried foods, as well as desserts. There is a maker's mark on the bottom.
