Japanese Wooden Sake Cup Sakazuki
This is an antique Japanese wooden lacquered sake cup, Sakazuki. Military Memorial Cup of the Former Japanese Army. The back of the cup has a kanji written on it (後備歩兵第三師隊第一大隊征衛). A picture of a dragonfly is drawn on the cup. Sakazuki refers specifically to flat sake cups. Ochoko is a small cup that can be used to drink sake in one or two sips. Guinomi is a cup large enough to fit your nose when drinking sake.
