Antique Japanese Buddhist Nobori Flag
This is an antique Japanese memorial service flag that has written many people's names of 妙法Myoho (dharma name) and the date March of the 4th year of the Koka Period (c1847). I think it was a memorial service at Hongonji Temple for those who passed away. Putting the kanji 釋'Shaku' at the first of the dharma name means that the person is a disciple of the Buddha. It is also a historically rare flag.
