Antique Japanese Mortuary Tablet Ihai
This is an antique Japanese mortuary tablet Ihai. A mortuary tablet is a place the spirit is enshrined. This type of Ihai (with a double door) is called Miyabi. This mortuary tablet (Kai de Ihai) can hold several deceased people in one place: it contains 3 white wood plates with names and/or dates written on them. The front plate is the one seen on the pictures. It has the name of the deceased, the date of the death and the age at that time.

- Good condition considering its age. Discoloration. Left door is hard and right door is loose. Metal parts holding the door is loose (right side). Rust on the metal parts. Wear and tear due to age. Please see the photos carefully.
