Japanese Calligraphy Brush
This is a vintage Japanese calligraphy brush, or fude in Japanese. The bamboo handle is decorated with stickers. It features a plastic cap to protect the tip. This is an unused vintage item.
Brushes are traditionally used for Japanese calligraphy (Shodo) and for practicing Japanese character handwriting (Shuji). They can also be used for traditional Nihonga paintings.
