Vintage Japanese Buddhist Silk Juzu Rosary Case
This is a vintage Japanese silk pouch made to hold Buddhist rosaries (juzu). It has a single pocket with no fastener. It is made with beautiful brown and gold silk fabric that depicts a temple at Koyasan which is a famous Buddhist complex in Wakayama Prefecture. In each corner has a short mantra associated with Kuukai, the founder of Shingon Buddhism.
