Antique Japanese Wooden Masu Bucket
This traditional Japanese rice bucket, Masu or Ittomasu, was once used for measuring and storing units of rice (about 18L). Sturdy hardwood with iron holding it together, this bucket has two handles typically found on most masu. This particular masu has carvings on the front: Ebisu, the God of Commerce, and a lucky mallet. There are also some inscriptions.

- Good condition considering its age. Scratches, dents, marks and discoloration. Iron bands have some rust. Wear and tear due to age. Please see the photos.
