This is Japanese antique charcoal cloth iron. Western culture entered Japan in the Meiji era. Western styles (foods, clothing, and houses) were introduced to Japan. Charcoal cloth iron was also transmitted along with the clothes. There is a beautiful gold rooster decoration.
