Japanese Wooden Haribako Sewing Chest

This is a Japanese sewing box, also called Haribako. Finished with a natural dark brown color, it displays a beautiful natural wood grain. It has five differently-sized drawers with simple metal hardware. While there is usually a lid that opens on top, this one is missing. There is also a slot on the side that was initially to house a small straight ruler. This classic tansu chest can also be used for storing sewing supplies, jewelry, or other trinkets.
