Vintage Japanese Wooden Lidded Storage Box
Wooden boxes are a common method of safely keeping and storing delicate pottery, vases, and other ceramic, clay, and glass items in Japan. In addition to pottery, they are also widely used for a plethora of other traditional Japanese crafts including kimono accessories, wrapping cloths, chopsticks, commemorative gifts, etc, and even food.
This is a vintage Japanese lidded wooden box perhaps made to store a tiered bento box or vase. The lid slides down the front and secures flush with the rest of the box. It is excellent for general storage, DIY, or decoration.

- Good condition considering age. Chips and dark marks. Some scratches and discolorations. Handles on sides are missing. Lid does not secure shut at the bottom (slides back into the box when pushed). Wear and tear due to age. Please see the photos carefully.
