Vtg Japanese Takasago Doll Elderly Man
This handsome vintage doll represents an old man dressed in white and gold hakama pants with a green and gold kimono top covered by a gold kimono coat. It is a wooden doll with silk fabric applied according to the kimekomi technique. This type of doll is called a Takasago doll. The elderly man is usually paired with an elderly woman, representing lasting love and longevity for a couple.
