Japanese Porcelain Teacup Yunomi for Sencha
This vintage Japanese Arita Ware teacup is glazed an ivory white with rich blue sometsuke flower and linework designs on the outside and an inside border. It features a decorative subtle curved lip. This small cup is called yunomi, made for serving and drinking sencha (standard looseleaf tea).
These cups are typically served to guests in one's home, a business, or a restaurant on an obon tray.
