Vtg Japanese Paper Mache Oni Mask
This is a Japanese paper mache mask (omen). This character is the face of an oni, an ogre creature known to have considerable strength and cause destruction and chaos wherever they roam. The mask, however, is said to invoke the fierceness of oni and scare away evil spirits and protect from them as well. This piece can be used for room decoration or for shows and dances.

- Good condition considering age. Paint cracking on sides. Some scratches and rub marks on sides of face and tip of nose. Elastic band needs replacing. Wear and tear due to age. Please see the photos carefully.
