Vintage Japanese Lacquerware Bento Box, Jubako
This is a Japanese vintage lacquered wooden three-tier lunch box (jubako). The box is black on the outside, red on the inside with one makie gold-painted family crest symbol on each tier an on the lid. The tiers can be arranged in any fashion and each has a pair of brackets on the bottom to both hold the boxes in place while stacked, but also lift them from the ground or tabletop.
