Vtg Japanese Glass Bell Furin

This is a vintage Japanese glass bell, Furin. It is painted with red, white, and green paint on a transparent background. Towards the bottom, there are blue and white lines drawn. It can be used as a room decoration or an ornament. The Kanji characters say Nice Wind  風さらさ. The name "Edo Wind Chime" was coined in 1964 (Showa 39) by wind chime craftsman Yoshiharu Shinohara to signify a traditional craft that continued the legacy of wind chimes from the Edo period. Prior to that, they were referred to as "glass wind chimes."
