Vtg Japanese Bamboo Dancing Figurines In Glass Case
This item is a vintage glass case ornament with 5 bamboo doll figurines dancing the Awa Odori. The figurines are displayed on a little black stand in front of a black background with white Japanese inscriptions in the handwritten style. The details of the figurines give a good representation of the Awa Odori dance. The box has four glass panels and wood panels on the bottom and the back. The back panel is removable so it is possible to access the inside of the box. Awa Odori is a dance at the famous Awa Dance Festival in Tokushima, Japan.
