Vtg Japanese Ceramic Maneki Neko Piggy Bank
This is a vintage Japanese ceramic piggy bank in the shape of a grinning maneki neko cat (beckoning cat). It is orange spotted cat with a purple collar and bell. It holds a koban gold coin that says fuku 福, or "fortune" on it. It has a slot at the back of the head to put coins in as well as a clear plastic stopper on the bottom to cover the hole making it easy to remove coins later. It is not too large and perfect for small shelves and desktops.
